I took several reporting trips with the Sudan People's Liberation Army. On this particular one, our group trekked for hours in head-high elephant grass and miserably humid heat. I took advantage of a rest stop to interview some of the guerrilla fighters. A short while later, we came under tank fire wounding a journalist and three rebels.
